Many people come to me for support with an anxious horse, dog, or cat — and I am always happy to help. Yet one question I gently encourage people to consider is this: how can lasting change happen for our animals if we are not also caring for our own wellbeing?
🌹
We often invest time, energy, and money into our animals’ health while placing our own needs last. But the bond we share with our animals runs deep. They are highly sensitive to our emotions, stress levels, and overall wellbeing, just as we are affected by theirs.
🌹
In my experience, healing is often a shared journey. While every situation is unique — especially when welcoming a rescue animal with pre-existing challenges — there is frequently a close connection between how we feel and how our animals respond. When we feel calmer, more balanced, and supported, our animals can benefit too.
🌹
True wellbeing is rarely separate. Caring for ourselves can become an important part of caring for the animals we love.

The Journey with my animals
I have studied both raw and natural pet nutrition extensively and love helping people better understand how food can support the health and wellbeing of their animals. Alongside formal training as a pet food specialist, my personal experience caring for a large multi-pet family has given me practical, hands-on knowledge that I trust deeply. We both found ourselves facing difficult diagnoses, having been told by medical and veterinary professionals that no further treatment options were available to change the course of our conditions.
🌹
For me, wellbeing is about removing the obstacles — emotional, energetic, and physical — that prevent us and our animals from living well and thriving. Health, relationships, mindset, environment, and energy are all connected. I believe that when balance is restored, healing and transformation can begin.
My work is rooted in creating a calm, supportive space for both people and animals — a place where healing can unfold naturally. I am especially passionate about energy work, aromatherapy, natural living, and supporting wellbeing in a holistic and compassionate way.
🌹
Like many animal lovers, my home is full of extraordinary souls. I share my life with cats and dogs who each bring their own wisdom, comfort, and companionship. Animals have an incredible way of grounding us, teaching us presence, and helping us reconnect with ourselves.

My Gracie - the best teacher
The photo features Gracie, the Labrador who changed my life and completely transformed my beliefs about healing, connection, and what is possible. Alongside her is Mishka, my beloved husky — a much-loved inspiration behind the gentle giant characters in my novels. Note: for those who are reading it - Fudge is Gracie...
🌹
My own journey into holistic healing came through personal challenges. Both Gracie and I faced ongoing health struggles where conventional options felt limited. That experience led me to explore a range of complementary approaches, including Reiki, Pranic Healing, aromatherapy, nutrition, and energy-based practices. Over time, I found methods that deeply resonated with me and supported meaningful changes in my own wellbeing and quality of life.
🌹
Gracie’s journey was equally profound. Through a combination of loving care, nutritional changes, holistic support, and close veterinary guidance, she exceeded expectations and enjoyed more happy years than first anticipated. Her story continues to inspire my passion for supporting both animals and the people who love them.
🌹
I believe strongly in a balanced, holistic approach to health — for ourselves and our animals. Nutrition, emotional wellbeing, environment, and natural support can all play an important role alongside conventional care. Sometimes medical treatment is essential, and sometimes complementary approaches can offer valuable support. My belief is not in choosing one over the other, but in finding the right balance for each individual.

Animals in the wild can select whereas animals contained only have the choice of what is put in front of them. I hold a Level 4 Accredited Diploma in Applied Herbal Choices for Animals — a practice that explores how animals instinctively seek support from nature through herbs, botanicals, and plant extracts.
🌹
This approach is inspired by the study of animal self-selection behaviour, sometimes known as zoopharmacognosy — the observation that animals naturally know how to seek out plants and substances that may support their wellbeing. While wild animals have access to a wide range of natural remedies through foraging, our domesticated companions often do not.
🌹
During a session, animals are gently offered a range of carefully selected herbs, essential oils, and natural plant extracts. They are encouraged to guide the process themselves, choosing what feels right for them through scent, taste, or interaction. Some may inhale an aroma, some may lick or taste a remedy, while others may physically engage with it in different ways.
🌹
Every animal is unique, and sessions are led entirely at their pace and comfort level. The aim is to create a calm, supportive space where animals can communicate their preferences and be supported in a holistic, intuitive way.
To help you better understand how this works before booking, I have included a short video explanation opposite. I wanted to give people a clear understanding of my approach so you can feel informed and comfortable before a session.
🌹
Whether offered as part of ongoing wellbeing support, after emotional challenges, or simply as a nurturing experience, many people find this gentle, animal-led approach both insightful and deeply rewarding.
I used to be a Reiki Master but prefer to use Pranic and Goddes healing (as a Priestess of the Rose) and find these far more effective.

Join me weekly with the online course on how to offer natural medication to your pets in a safe and effective manner and get the additional bonus of learning the basics of energy healing and animal communication.
For those who want to go deeper, I have created an online holistic animal wellbeing programme with mentorship — designed to help you better understand, support, and connect with your animals in a truly meaningful way.
🌹
This course grew from years of study, lived experience, and one very special teacher — my beloved Labrador, Gracie. Her health journey changed the direction of my life and opened the door to a deeper understanding of holistic wellbeing, natural support, animal communication, energy healing, nutrition, and the profound connection we share with our animals.

Chris Day & Gracie
Many years ago, I met one of the kindest, wisest, and most quietly extraordinary people I have ever known — Dr Christopher Day.
🌹
Chris dedicated his entire lifetime to helping animals. A true pioneer of holistic veterinary medicine, he spent decades courageously advocating for approaches that supported the whole animal, often standing firm despite criticism, scepticism, legal action and attempts to dim his light. Yet none of that ever seemed to harden him. He remained deeply compassionate, endlessly knowledgeable, and utterly devoted to the wellbeing of animals and the people who loved them.
🌹
This photo is of Chris with my beloved Gracie — two souls who changed my life in ways I struggle to put into words.
🌹
Gracie was the dog who cracked my world open. Chris was the man who helped me make sense of what was inside it.
🌹
Together, they gave me the courage to question, to learn, and ultimately to trust myself enough to choose a different path.
🌹
Before meeting Chris, I often felt powerless and overwhelmed by veterinary decisions, frightened into believing there was only one route forward. But Chris taught me something invaluable: knowledge matters. Science matters. Questions matter. He helped me understand how to advocate for my animals, how to look deeper, and how to make informed choices rooted in both evidence and intuition.
🌹
Because of what Chris taught me — and what Gracie inspired in me — I found the confidence to challenge treatments that did not feel right, to ask better questions, and to choose approaches that gave my animals the best possible quality of life.
🌹
Over the 22 years that I have lived in my area, my vets have changed because of what I have shown them - that labradors do live to 14 and 15 years old easily. 9-12 is not the normal death age at all. Traditional vets respect me and don't question me anymore because I have the training and the science behind me. And the confidence that Chris and Gracie gave me.
Their legacy lives in everything I do.
And I will spend the rest of my life grateful that somehow, our paths crossed.
Many years and many courses - consolidated for you and your pet
🌹
Before this work, I spent many years in IT Project Management and Business Analysis, approaching life through logic, systems, and analytical thinking. Entering the world of intuitive healing and animal communication challenged everything I thought I knew. As someone naturally sceptical and science-minded, I questioned much of what I experienced at first. Yet through study, lived experience, and observation, I gradually came to understand how energy, behaviour, wellbeing, and even science can work together in ways I had never expected.
🌹
This programme has been created to help you feel more confident and empowered in supporting your animals through a holistic lens. It brings together emotional wellbeing, natural feeding, energy hygiene, intuitive awareness, aromatherapy, and applied herbal choices — helping you better understand what your animals may be trying to communicate and what support they might need.
🌹
At the heart of this work is the relationship between your wellbeing and theirs. Our animals are deeply connected to us, often responding to our environment, emotions, and energy in ways we do not always recognise. By supporting ourselves alongside them, meaningful shifts can begin to happen.
There are rarely instant answers when it comes to health and wellbeing, which is why I believe so strongly in prevention, awareness, and early support. Small, consistent changes can have a profound impact over time — helping both people and animals live healthier, calmer, and more connected lives.
For those wanting deeper support, mentorship is available to help you confidently apply what you learn to your own unique circumstances and your animal’s individual needs.
🌹
Everything I teach comes from a place of deep care, practical experience, and gratitude for what Gracie taught me. Her legacy continues to inspire this work, and it is my hope that what I have learned may help other animals — and the people who love them — thrive.
